As I sat there thumbing through my list of wonderful Twitter followers, I really started to realize how difficult this is going to be every week! I can honestly say I've got a great group of Tweeps and the list grows more every day.
This one, though, was especially tough. Being that this is the inaugural Brian Heffron Design Twitter Follower of the Week, I needed to make sure it was someone extra awesome. Someone who really helps make the Twitter community a cool place to hang. With these stipulations in place, I really had my work cut out for myself.
In the end though, it was really pretty simple. How could not choose someone who is seen on almost 65,000 Twitter feeds daily!?
So, I give you, the Brian Heffron Design Twitter Follower of the Week - @MariSmith.
Mari is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of Social Media. In 2008, Fast Company dubbed her as the Pied Piper of Facebook which only seems appropriate as she's been on both Facebook and Twitter since they were in their infant stages.
If you're new to this whole Social Media craze, and would like to learn more about how you or your business can benefit from it, be sure to drop Mari a line. You can find her on Twitter at @MariSmith or her website www.marismith.com. |

Well, if you're reading this you must already know that I've completely revamped my entire website. The old one was, to put it gently, warn out.
When I released the former version early last year, my goal was to make repeated updates to both the site's content and the blog. Neither really happened. However, this time I am determined! I have a lot of great ideas and am making plans to update the blog multiple times per week with everything from marketing advice for companies to design advice for students. I am also going to start a neat project I am calling "The Twitter Follower of the Week" where I will highlight one of my Twitter followers, talk about who they are, what they do etc. I think it will be fun, and a great way to elaborate on everybody's favorite #FollowFriday.
My "Twitter Follower of the Week" will be updated every Monday. If you think you might be lucky enough to be the next TFOTW, then first you need to Follow Me on Twitter (duh.) and then Write Me and plead your case! |
